Overview

This is a creative workshop. Make and create a story with shadow puppets, improvised music and film that explores the landscape and its stories. All ages welcome. BlueJam Arts is a dynamic hub for music and arts in North Cumbria.

The fantastic BlueJam session will involve making and creating a story with shadow puppets, improvised music and film that explores the landscape and our place within it.

Using the skyline as a starting point we will create a soundscape with voices and instruments, write words that explore how many footsteps it takes to leave home, and use our outlines as a way to draw ourselves into the landscape.

Jilly will use her experience as choir leader to get everyone using their voice or instrument and Kate will facilitate spontaneous drawing from the ideas generated by the group as the story develops.

All welcome - this is an intergenerational workshop aimed at adults with or without accompanying children.
