Overview

Move around the musicians and gaze at the mesmerising ‘pool’ screen in this moving experience inspired by the flow of water.

Cross-genre ensemble Propellor present their audio-visual, immersive touring project ‘Loom’, an hour-long live experience combining virtuosic instrumental composition, live electronics, video projection, field recording and site-specific found sounds.

“An ensemble of musicians crossing the worlds of folk, classical, electronic and experimental music. It twists and turns through different sound worlds. An intriguing project.” Aidan O’Rourke (LAU)

Premiering at Lakes Alive, members of the public and three local groups have been working with acclaimed composer and ensemble leader Jack McNeill in the lead up to the festival to produce compositions inspired by the ensemble’s methods of capturing and interweaving local stories and sounds.
